Snow-dyed quilter’s fabric
The first snow of the season! I’m off to snow dye!! Buckets of snow were hauled into my garage and piled on top of this 2-yard piece of cotton. Dyes were poured over and the snow melted the color into the fabric. It created a watery red and purple with a patterning that is unique to this technique. It would be beautiful in any patchwork, applique or other fiber project!! There’s enough fabric here to create a gorgeous blouse too!
The fabric was washed before and after dyeing, so it is preshrunk. Always prewash hand dyed to test for excess dye.
Made in a smoke-free, pet-friendly home.
