Snow dyed quilter’s fabric

Beautiful burgundy red patterns the surface of this yardage. Buckets of snow were shoveled and carried into the house and packed on the fabric. Then the dyes were poured on. Imagine what the neighbors thought!

Soft, watery patterning results from the snow slowly melting the dyes into the cotton muslin fabric. This would make a gorgeous addition to your next quilt or fiber art project.

The fabric was washed twice during the dye process, so it is preshrunk. Hand dyes should be washed again to test for colorfastness. Made in a smoke-free, pet-friendly home.
