Lessons learned

Whew! I finished the custom fabric for a new friend in Finland and will show a photo here. I’m not sure what the project is, but asked her to send a photo when it is complete. I learned a lot about discharging in the course of making this piece.

Booth at Quilt-A-Fair

I had a great time with my booth at Quilt-A-Fair in Longmont, CO. It was a BIG booth and happily I was able to fill it. My Topeka friend Jan traveled out to help me. She’s such a good friend. I was thrilled to see many quilting friends that I hadn’t seen for a while. And, the new airbrushed and discharged fabrics were popular.

When we got to the event site, we found the tires on our hand cart were flat! We had to carry everything into the building. What a struggle. But, quilters and their spouses being the kindly people they are, a man volunteered his compressor and another man knew how to get the tires to seal to the bead and voila!! We were back in business. Another lesson learned – check the tires before leaving town.
